Imagination used in Counseling? 

PathSeeker Director, Brad Washburn, has always had an interest in Science Fiction and Fantasy.  Imagination is a large part of mental health.  In fact, many metaphores and analogies used in counseling are drawn from the imagination:  Can you imagine your life without problems?  How will the future version of yourself go through the day free from anxiety and worry?

          After noticing that many people coming to therapy were identifying with his interest in Star Wars, he began to incorporate it into therapy.  Many people have seen Star Wars and those who haven’t can still relate to the imagery from the movies.  Other people have 'closet' interests in books, movies, or TV with a fantasy or fiction background.

          Knowing that Science Fiction and Fantasy fans are highly intelligent, And knowing that intelligence and science fiction/fantasy interests sometimes create or augment issues in relationships, thought processes, careers, etc.; Brad began offering legitimate Counseling and life-coaching to select fan groups.  The interest continues to grow. . . .
